✿ Beri Furutsu (Ber-ē Fur-üt-sü)At the age of 21, Beri Furutsu of the cursed Shukaku clan, has set out to explore the world with many dreams and desires; to explore the vast world after living in her clan's farms and gardens since birth, to learn and master the magic of conjuring nature, and to find people accepting of her skin and curse.Her inspiration to set out and explore the world came from none other than Scarlet Rays, a famed pirate, when the adventurer was out on another one of their ventures and briefly came across the odd and isolated Shukaku Village....After being away from her village for 12 moons, Beri has found herself settled in more ways than one. After trying new foods, constantly swelling up from her curse, and being well pampered with delicious desserts, her figure has plumped up over 110 lbs! It doesn't help that she doesn't do farm work anymore, and is instead sitting around studying and snacking.Her first lover, Scarlet, has introduced her to doughnuts, which the red haired pirate herself downs a batch daily. Beri loves baking doughnuts for the pirate, which ends up partially on the Xaela's figure as well.One of Beri's girlfriends, Allie, has kept her well fed, and has a thing for berrying the blue Au Ra a couple times a month. The Beri wouldn't be so plump if it weren't for this wide Elezen woman.Once in a while, she'll appear "pregnant", as she's actually just carrying one of Becki's "food slimes" in her stomach like a child. Of course this leads to Becki caring for Beri like an expecting mother as well with plenty of food.And then there's Khini~ She loves pampering Beri and taking her out on dates. Whenever they're around, the Miqo'te just can't keep her hands off the chubby Beri, and doing whatever she can to either stuff or swell Beri up!While Beri couldn't be more thankful for the relationships she's developed over the course of her new life, she does keep her eyes out for someone to ask her hand in marriage, to settle down and bare a child with, whether it's with one of those four or someone new.

Shukaku Clan's Curse

✿ TermologyVegetation - Fruits, herbs, and vegetables. Also can be refered to as a Shukaku's genetic curse profile.
Sprout(s) - Vegetation that effects the Shukaku. Every Shukaku has their own unique set of Vegetation, which typically relate to their skin and hair pigmentation.
Harvest - The signature Sprout that effects the Skukaku on a night of a full moon.✿ Curse of the Bountiful HarvestThe curse takes effect every full moon, or when a Shukaku consumes a Sprout. When the curse takes effect, the victim beings to swell up with juices of either the consumed Sprout, or their Harvest due to the full moon. They'll continue swelling until their at their skeletal limits of being an orb.NEW FACT - Due to the curse being magic, the victim will not stop filling until they are considered full and ripe. Juicing does not stop the swelling, rather it can only slow it down, put them in stasis at the right speed, or juice fast enough until they continue swelling again.NEW FACT - Nulifies the victim's use of magic. (more information needed)Consuming a Harvest on an evening of a full moon negates the moon's effect. However, consuming a Sprout, that isn't a Harvest, on a night of the full moon can lead to alarming circumstances. The following can happen in such situations;Over swelling - The process of filling up with twice the amount of juice than normal. The skeleton cannot stretch, therefore causing the body to swell past the limbs limits. This will result in the head, hands, and feet appearing sunken in to the over swollen body.Bursting - In the circumstance the victim is an elder and has lived a long and bountiful life, they can unfortunately pop after over swelling.

✿ History"The Roots of the Clan"A portion of the farmers, gardeners, herbalists, and botanists of the Au Ra race separated from both the Xaela and Raen clans alike shortly after migration. They came together to form their own clan in the Steepe where they could harvest in peace; The Shukaku Clan. They settled residing between the forest and fields, forming the Shukaku Village.Their unnaturally colorful skin tones comes from the time they were cursed due to not wanting to enlist in war, a curse that continues to pass on for generations, a cure long forgotten in the vast ocean of history. Despite the unfortunate curse, the Shukaku clan have efficiently managed to avoid and quickly solve situations that come with it. They're even so accepting of one another's skin color, that they've incorporated it into their culture, including, but not limited to, the naming of their offspring, festivals, and birthday celebrations.✿ Procedures"No Vine Will Stop The Shukaku"The clan has taken measures to combat the restricting nature of the curse. They've come up with termology, keep track of everyone's Vegetation, crafted methods to suppress swelling before it gets out of hand. They've also practiced ways of efficiently juicing someone that has fully swollen.In the case they have already swollen however... They can either be juiced, or they will slowly leak out enough of the juice due to pressure to where they can waddle to safety. The prior can take days, but the juices in their body will provide them an overabundance of nutrients to survive, leading to very minor weight gain.✿ Culture"The Berry Bountiful Life"Instead of the clan living suppressed by this curse, they've included it in their culture! A Shukaku are not given a name until the day they are born. They're named according to their "Harvest".

✿ Berry BeriDespite the clan's warnings, Beri Furutsu has been care-free on quite a few occasions when it came to accidently eating her Sprouts, including on a night of a full moon...It was an unfortunate coincidence, her 18th birthday corresponding with a night of a full moon. With how happy and distracted she was during her birthday, she was careless with her eating. What she thought was her O'Ghomoro Berries to negate the full moon's effect, she instead consumed some Royal Grapes instead. Luckily, she had her best friend to help roll the over swollen Beri to the safety of being juiced. However, that night awakened something in her. Something foreign and exotic.She's kept her new feelings more suppressed than the curse did to her clan, but one day she would get to explore these exotic feelings...

Beri has spent quite a bit of time with the Elezen, their relationship now at a "girlfriend" status. Allie has been the primary cause of Beri's weight gain, always offering the Xaela delicious desserts and new foods to try. The Elezen has a little fun with Beri and her curse monthly, using the juices from the berried Beri for sweet tarts and other recipes, with consent of course.✿ Becki Horo - Beri's Other HalfInvited to Becki's home by a poster claiming she needed a taste tester, the two Xaela become close friends after a chaotic night of Becki experiencing what Beri was all about. At some point, Becki's slime named Lemon found a warm home inside of Beri's womb, residing there once in a while, carrying it around like a unborn child.(Currently...)
After a whole month of Becki using Beri to literally brew wine in her berried self, they have found a more passionate bond between them. Aside from her "Allergies", a night with a full moon will also trigger this if she doesn't consume her "Harvest", which is a O'Ghomoro Berry. You may also come to realize that this Curse seems more like a blessing...✿ The Vast, and Wide, Culinary WorldComing from a village filled with farmers and gardeners, you'd think she'd know every thing in the world about food and recipes. Unfortunately, she was isolated from the vast culinary world, until now. A date to a restaurant or your own dining room is more than enough to satisfy this adventurer.✿ Home is Where the Heart isWell, maybe it's not her own home, or her village, but she's been able to stay at one of her guilds. She'll most likely be at her place of stay during nights, and some times when there's a full moon when her curse kicks in.
